Mercer Island Band Boosters is, at its heart, a fund raising organization for support of our band program. We raise these funds primarily through two annual events.
Band Together is our premier event, a celebration of all things band. This adults-only evening event sells out routinely. Typically held in October or November, Band Together is themed and consisting of a silent and live auction with a live music program, dancing, food and drink. This event is a must attend for every band parent and member of our community of alumni and local band supporters. This single event raises the lions share of the funds we use to support the band program in so many ways.
Band Camp BBQ
This fun event held in summer after one of the days of Band Camp is a fund raising BBQ that features grilled chicken and fixin’s, salads, lemonade and ice cream served by our illustrious Drum Majors. After a hard day of drill down and fun in the sun, this BBQ is a great way for band kids and families to mix and mingle, hear some great music and wind down with friends on a summer evening.
